American-Ghanaian singer-songwriter Amaarae is set to break new ground as the first Ghanaian artist to perform at the prestigious Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
The 2025 event will be held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, spanning two weekends from April 11 to April 20.
The official Coachella lineup, revealed via Instagram, includes Amaarae alongside global superstars such as Travis Scott, Post Malone, Missy Elliott, Megan Thee Stallion, Ty Dolla Sign, Rema, T-Pain, and South African sensation Tyla.
Amaarae is slated to perform on April 13 and April 20, marking a major milestone for Ghanaian representation on the international music stage.
This achievement caps off an extraordinary 2024 for Amaarae, who has captivated audiences worldwide. Highlights include her performance at Denmark’s Roskilde Festival, a collaboration with Childish Gambino on his acclaimed album Bando Stone & The New World, and joining him on his global New World Tour.
Amaarae also celebrated a landmark streaming milestone, becoming the first female Ghanaian artist to surpass one billion streams across major platforms.
