Office complex for Saglemi Housing project destroyed by fire

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has revealed that five 40-foot containers that serve as office complex at the Saglemi Housing project site have been burnt to ashes.
Assistant Divisional Officer Grade One (ADO1), Alex King Nartey who works at the Public Affairs Department of the Service revealed that the fire outbreak that got to their attention around 5pm today destroyed the content of the containers.
Engaging the media, the GNFS noted that it took about 4 hours to bring the fire under control despite deploying two fire tenders.
According to the GNFS, the edifice built were not affected by the fire and investigations are ongoing to identify the cause of the fire.
In a separate fire incident, over 50 wooden structures for domestic use and one wooden container for commercial purpose destroyed at Kwashieman in a fire incident today.
The cause of the fire incident is yet to be determined.
